A lightweight Chrome extension that turns SAML 2.0 metadata into the values you actually need to configure an integration.
What it does
Open a SAML metadata page, click the extension, and get a clean, one-screen summary of the integration values that matter.

Simplify SAML is designed to operate locally and collect as little information as possible.
Data Simplify SAML processes
When you explicitly click the Simplify SAML extension on a browser tab, the extension may read SAML metadata contained on that page. This metadata may include:
- Entity identifiers
- SAML service endpoints
- Organization information
- Requested SAML attributes
- NameID formats
- X.509 certificates
- SAML configuration settings
If you manually paste SAML metadata into Simplify SAML, that content is processed in the same way.
Data collection
Simplify SAML does not collect or transmit your SAML metadata.
Metadata is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to the developer, a remote server, or any third-party service.
Simplify SAML does not use:
- Analytics
- Advertising
- Tracking
- Telemetry
- User accounts
- Remote processing
Temporary storage
Simplify SAML uses Chrome's session storage to temporarily pass analysis results between the metadata page and the Simplify SAML results page.
This data is:
- Stored only within the browser session
- Not stored in a remote database
- Not synchronized between devices
- Not used for profiling or analytics
- Cleared when the browser session ends
- Removable immediately using the extension's Clear function
Chrome permissions
activeTab
Provides temporary access to the current page only after you explicitly click the Simplify SAML extension.
scripting
Allows Simplify SAML to read and analyze SAML metadata displayed in the active tab after you click the extension.
storage
Used with Chrome session storage so analysis results can be shown on the Simplify SAML summary page.
Simplify SAML does not request persistent access to every website you visit.
Sharing of data
Simplify SAML does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data to third parties.
User data is not used for:
- Advertising
- Marketing
- Behavioral profiling
- Creditworthiness
- Lending decisions
- Any purpose unrelated to analyzing SAML metadata
Third-party services
Simplify SAML does not send SAML metadata to third-party APIs or services. Metadata parsing and analysis are performed locally in Chrome.
Security
Simplify SAML is designed to minimize exposure of potentially sensitive identity configuration information by keeping processing local to the browser.
Users should still treat SAML metadata, certificates, internal URLs, and identity configuration information according to their organization's security policies.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated if Simplify SAML's functionality or data-handling practices change. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
